Important Travel Advice

Fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time. 

Trains run regularly to Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line and the stadium is a short 10-minute walk from the station. 

Please note that planned weeknight trackwork from 9.50pm may affect how you travel home via the T4 Eastern Suburbs Line. Buses will replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland. Trains run between Waterfall, Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.  

Remember, you'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when travelling on public transport to and from the event. Register your details online at Opal or via the Opal Travel app ahead of time.

Traffic is expected to be heavy in both directions on the Princes Highway approaching Kogarah as crowds travel to the stadium in the already busy evening peak. If you have to drive, allow extra travel time and plan to arrive early. You can find real-time traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.

Local roads around the stadium may close ahead of kick-off including Jubilee Avenue, Park Street and English Street, and will re-open once crowds have cleared the area.  

Opal

You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night. 

Change at Martin Place, Central or Sydenham for a T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line service to Carlton.

The closest station to Jubilee Stadium is Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line. The stadium is a short 10-minute walk from the station.   

To help you get to and from the match, all the T4 Illawarra Line trains will stop at Carlton between 6pm and 11pm.

Trackwork

Planned weeknight trackwork is taking place on Thursday 5 December on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner:  

  • T1 North Shore Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central. 
  • T1 Western Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, trains make extra stops at some stations between Parramatta and Burwood. 
  • T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, buses replace Inner West Line trains between Strathfield and Central. Express trains continue to run, stopping at Strathfield, Burwood, Redfern and the City. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park via Granville. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. Most T1 Western Line trains make extra stops at some stations between Parramatta and Burwood. 
  • T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, buses replace Inner West Line trains between Strathfield and Central. Express trains continue to run, stopping at Strathfield, Burwood, Redfern and the City. Trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Olympic Park via Regents Park. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. Most T1 Western Line trains make extra stops at some stations between Parramatta and Burwood. 
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: From 9.50pm to 2.30am, buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland. Trains run between Waterfall, Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable. 
  • T9 Northern Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central. 
  • Blue Mountains Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central. 
  • Central Coast & Newcastle Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central. 
  • Hunter Line: Buses replace the following trains between Muswellbrook and Maitland: the 8.14am Newcastle Interchange to Muswellbrook  and the 10.09am Muswellbrook to Newcastle Interchange. Trains run to the normal timetable between Maitland and Newcastle Interchange.

The closest bus stops to the Stadium are along the Princes Highway at Kogarah Park.

Bus route 958 operates between Kogarah and Hurstville via Carss Park. Bus route 476 and 477 run to Gray Street, Kogarah, which is a short walk to Jubilee Stadium.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central, change for a train to Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily, plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

From Central, change for a train to Carlton on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line.

There is no parking available at Jubilee Stadium. There are various car parks within easy walking distance of Carlton and Kogarah Stations:

  • Kogarah Town Square, entry via Derby Street
  • Kogarah Town Centre, entry via ramp from Railway Parade
  • Hospital car park, entry via South Street
  • Kogarah Station commuter car park, entry via Station Street
  • Carlton Station commuter car park, entry via Railway Parade

There is a limited number of accessible parking spots located on Park Street. Patrons are required to display their parking permit in their window at all times. Please visit the stadium website for more details on booking accessible parking spaces.
