Important Travel Advice
Sydney Olympic Park will be very busy on Saturday 21 March with multiple events on in the precinct, including the AFL at ENGIE Stadium and the AFC Women's Asian Cup Final at Stadium Australia.
NBL ticketholders are urged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid significant traffic delays and the high demand for parking – extra train services will run.
Transport
- Public transport is the best way to get to Olympic Park – match tickets include travel on transport services.
- Trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe and the venue is a short walk from the station. Additional express trains will also be running from the city to Olympic Park and return.
- Please note that due to planned weekend trackwork, Metro services will not run on the entire line. Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Use trains between Epping or Chatswood and Sydenham.

- Note: Easter Show infrastructure and fencing will be in place. Follow directions and signage as walking routes around the precinct have changed.

- If you have pre-booked parking, follow directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. After the match, expect to allow up to an hour of additional travel time exiting car parks.
- If you haven't pre-booked parking do not drive to Olympic Park. You will need to catch public transport as there will be no parking available on-site. You can also consider parking at a nearby commuter car park and continuing your trip by train or bus to Olympic Park.

Match ticket entitlements
Valid pre-purchased tickets to the 2026 NBL Championship Game 1 on Saturday 21 March only at Qudos Bank Arena include travel to and from Olympic Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
- Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
- Sydney Metro services
- Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
- Sydney and Newcastle Ferries
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.
Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.
Tickets to 2026 NBL Championship Game 1 on Saturday 21 March include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.
If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Trains also run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until late.

- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: From 5.30am to 10:30am, at Hawkesbury River and Cowan, all trains leave from platform 2. From 7am to 10.30am, trains towards Hornsby do not stop at Cowan. Buses run from Hawkesbury River to Cowan, and from Cowan to Berowra, in that direction only. Change at Hawkesbury River for a bus to Cowan. The following Sydney buses services run to Olympic Park:
- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington.
- Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
- Route 533 runs from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.
Bus Diversions

- Routes 525 and 526: From 1am Friday 20 March to 3am Sunday 22 March, routes 525 and 526 services will be diverting while roads are closed in Sydney Olympic Park. Services in both directions will be diverting via Edwin Flack Avenue, Sarah Durack Avenue and Australia Avenue, and will miss stops on Dawn Fraser Avenue and Park Street. Catch these services from the stop on Park Street at Olympic Park train station or other alternative stop locations on Edwin Flack Avenue.
- Route 533: From 5pm Saturday 21 March to 1am Sunday 22 March, route 533 services will be diverting while roads are closed in Sydney Olympic Park. Services in both directions will be diverting via Hill Road, Pondage Link, Edwin Flack Avenue, Sarah Durack Avenue and Australia Avenue, and will miss stops on Holker Busway.

The closest wharf to Qudos Bank Arena is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.
