Trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe and the venue is a short walk from the station. Match tickets include travel on transport services.

Match ticket entitlements
Valid pre-purchased tickets to the 2026 GWS Giants AFL season at ENGIE Stadium include travel to and from Olympic Park on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
- Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
- Sydney Metro services
- Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
- Sydney and Newcastle Ferries
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.
Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.
Tickets to 2026 GWS Giants AFL season at ENGIE Stadium include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late.
At Epping or Central to connect with trains towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park.

The closest station to ENGIE Stadium is Olympic Park.
Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until late.
An additional express train will also leave Central at 11:30am, stopping at Redfern, Strathfield then Olympic Park.
Trackwork
Planned trackwork is taking place on Sunday 24 May on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner.
- T1 Western Line: Early morning or late-night Richmond trains run between Richmond and Central, platforms 1-14 only, making extra stops at Granville and Auburn. From 6.30am to 10.30am, some trains also make extra stops at Homebush and Ashfield.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Regents Park. Change at: Cabramatta for buses to Canley Vale, Fairfield, Yennora, Guildford and Merrylands, or Lidcombe for trains towards Granville or T1 Western Line stations. From 6.20am to 10.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Ashfield and Central. Leppington trains make extra stops at Homebush and Croydon.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City. You may need to change trains if travelling to Inner West stations. From 6.20am to 10.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Ashfield and Central. Trains run between Leppington and the City.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Waterfall, Sutherland and Bondi Junction.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Regents Park, and between Schofields and Olympic Park. Change at: Lidcombe for trains towards Schofields or Leppington, or Cabramatta or Granville for buses to Canley Vale, Fairfield, Yennora, Guildford or Merrylands. Early morning or late-night trains will run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Central, platforms 1-14.
- T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
- Blue Mountains Line: Some trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Blacktown and Lidcombe.
- South Coast Line: From 2.30am to 11am, buses replace trains between Bomaderry, Port Kembla and Wollongong. Trains run between Wollongong and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable. The 02:39 Kiama to Bondi Junction service run up to 20 minutes earlier than the normal timetable from Kiama to Coniston. From 11am to 2pm, buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong. The following Sydney buses services run to Olympic Park:
- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington.
- Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
- Route 533 runs between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.

The closest wharf to ENGIE Stadium is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.
F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Service changes:
- On weekends from 5pm L2/L3 services will not run between Town Hall and Circular Quay due to road closures for Vivid Sydney.
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.
Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as attendees travel to and from the event. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road.
If you have to drive, carpool with your group pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.
To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.

If you’re using taxis or rideshare, remember that roads will be closed within the precinct. Allow plenty of extra travel time due to the increased traffic expected in the precinct before and after the game.
When leaving, choose a pick-up location away from the immediate area around the stadium to avoid delays.

Parking
Visit Sydney Olympic Park – Parking to secure your parking space ahead of the event. Available until 11.59pm the night before the event. A flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.
If you have pre-booked a space, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. Carpool with your group and allow plenty of additional travel time.
If you haven’t pre-booked, follow the variable message signs within Sydney Olympic Park to the best available casual parking. Traffic delays are expected as attendees leave the precinct.
