Event Information
Wings over Shellharbour will take to the skies over two days at Shellharbour Airport. Large crowds are expected to attend the event, attendees are encouraged to catch public transport with trains and buses within short walking distance.
Trains run regularly to Albion Park station on the South Coast Line and is less than 100 metres from the airshow entry gate. Local buses also service the area, with bus stops within walking distance.
If you have to drive, travel with your group and use the designated park and ride location. Allow extra travel time as traffic may be heavier than usual around the area. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com
Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.

If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. The closest station to Shellharbour Airport is Albion Park on the South Coast Line, services will have additional carriages to assist you getting to and from the event.

Park & Ride shuttle buses
A designated ‘Park and Ride’ parking area will be available at the corner of Croome Road and Tongarra Road with shuttle buses to get you to and from the event.
This offsite parking area will have a free shuttle bus service to and from the main airshow gates from 8:30am until 6:00pm.

Regular route buses
Premier Illawarra operates regular weekend services in the Wollongong and Illawarra Region and make stops on Princes Highway including routes 37, 51, 57, and 76. See Premier Illawarra bus services for more details.

Heavy traffic is expected on approaches to Albion Park Rail on the Princes Hwy in both directions as large crowds cross the road from the train station to the event site at the airport.
Road closures and changed traffic conditions will be implemented in the area and motorists are advised to use designated carparks as the general admission carpark at the airport will be closed to the public.

Onsite parking is only available to buses, coaches and Platinum Pavilion ticket holders and accredited disabled permit holders only. Access to this area will be via Airport Road from the Princes Highway.
