You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham running from early morning until late. 

Alight at Gadigal, exiting via Bathurst St then continue on foot down to Darling Harbour.

Alternatively, change at Central to connect with light rail services to the Paddy's Market or Exhibition Centre stop leaving from Central Grand Concourse.

Sunday 14 June

• T1 North Shore Line: Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Milsons Point, also stopping at Crows Nest and Victoria Cross metro stations. Use metro services between Chatswood, Crows Nest or Victoria Cross and the City. Some late night buses run between T1 North Shore Line stations and Wynyard.
• T9 Northern Line: Trains run between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-14 only. If travelling to: T1 North Shore Line stations, change at Epping or Central for metro services to Victoria Cross, Crows Nest or Chatswood, then change for a bus.  
• Blue Mountains Line: From 9.30am to 4.30pm, buses replace trains from Lithgow to Katoomba. From 10.30am to 5pm, buses replace trains from Katoomba to Lithgow. Trains run to a changed timetable between Katoomba and Central.
• South Coast Line: Buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong. Trains run between Port Kembla, Wollongong and Central or Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable. Buses do not run to the train timetable. If connecting with trains at Wollongong you may need to catch an earlier bus to ensure you meet your train connection. Sydney metro trackwork may also affect how you travel. 

Saturday 20 June

• M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line: Metro services will not run between Tallawong and Sydenham. Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only. For travel to and from Waterloo use local buses or trains from Redfern. Use trains between Epping or Chatswood, the City and Sydenham   
• City Circle: Trains do not run around the City Circle but continue to run between Central and Wynyard. For travel to Circular Quay, St James or Museum use light rail, local buses or walk. Trackwork also affects trains on other lines
• T1 North Shore Line: Sydney Metro trackwork may affect how you travel.
• T1 Western Line: Richmond trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Central, platforms 1-14 only. Penrith trains make an extra stop at Ashfield
• T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between: Macarthur and Central, platforms 1-14 via Granville, Homebush and North Sydney. Macarthur trains do not stop at Ashfield. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. Saturday from 1pm to 12am, Inner West trains run to a changed timetable between Olympic Park and North Sydney. City Circle trackwork may also affect how you travel.
• T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Liverpool or Homebush and North Sydney. Saturday from 6.30am to 10.30am, trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Lidcombe only. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. City Circle trackwork may also affect how you travel.
• T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville. Saturday from 3am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla, Sutherland and Bondi Junction. Trackwork on other lines may also affect how you travel.
• T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield. Trains run between Glenfield and Central via Granville, and between Liverpool and Schofields or Richmond, some to a changed timetable.  You may need to change trains to continue your journey.
• T6 Lidcombe & Bankstown Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
• T8 Airport & South Line: Buses replace trains between Glenfield, Sydenham and Central via the Airport. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Macarthur and Central, platforms 1-14 via Granville or Regents Park, and between Sydenham and Bondi Junction. From the Airport, change at Central for trains to T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra or South Coast Line stations, not Wolli Creek. City Circle trackwork may also affect how you travel.
• T9 Northern Line: Sydney Metro trackwork may affect how you travel.
• Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Sydney Metro trackwork may affect how you travel. For travel to T1 North Shore Line stations change at Hornsby, not Epping
• South Coast Line: From 3am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Dapto, Port Kembla and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Bomaderry, Kiama and Dapto, and T4 Illawarra trains run between Sutherland and Bondi Junction. The first train to South Coast Line stations leaves Bondi Junction at 10:13, Wollongong at 12:08, arriving Kiama at 12:52.
• Southern Highlands Line: The following trains leave Central earlier than the normal timetable: The 16:06 Central to Moss Vale service leaves Central at 15:43, and the 17:55 Central to Goulburn service leaves Central at 17:28 

Friday 26 June

• T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: From 9.50pm, trains do not stop at Wolli Creek but make an extra stop at Arncliffe. Buses run between Sydenham, Wolli Creek and Arncliffe. Change at Arncliffe or Sydenham for a bus to Wolli Creek or change at Central for a T8 Airport & South Line train if you have luggage or accessibility needs. Trains also make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
• T8 Airport & South Line: From 9.50pm, trains do not run between Sydenham and the City Circle. T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line trains run between Sydenham and Bondi Junction and make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
• South Coast Line: From 10pm, trains do not stop at Wolli Creek but make an extra stop at Sydenham. Change at Sydenham for a bus to Wolli Creek, or change at Central for a T8 Airport train if you have luggage or accessibility needs.

Catch a ferry to Circular Quay where you can change for light rail or trains to Town Hall or Central and continue on foot to Tumbalong Park.

Alternatively, catch a ferry to Pyrmont Bay or Barangaroo and continue on foot.

Early morning and late night ferries are limited. Plan ahead and consider the alternative transport options including trains, buses and light rail.

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Use the Trip Planner to plan your trip.

Catch light rail services to the Exhibition Centre stop which is located across from Tumbalong Park.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). From Central continue on foot or change for L1 Light rail services leaving from Central Grand Concourse to Exhibition Centre which is located across from Tumbalong Park.

Alternatively, alight at Haymarket or Chinatown stops and walk to the park in Darling Harbour.

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line 

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service to Central from Parramatta Station.  

From Central continue on foot or change for L1 Light rail services leaving from Central Grand Concourse to Exhibition Centre which is located across from Tumbalong Park. 

Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic may be heavier than usual on roads approaching Darling Harbour including Harbour St, Darling Drive and Pier St. If you have to drive or are using taxis or rideshare, allow additional travel time.

Pedestrians are reminded to exercise caution around the tram tracks between the CBD and South East and cross at designated pedestrian crossings.

Parking is available within the TikTok Entertainment Centre (formerly ICC Sydney Theatre) at the Exhibition Centre carpark. Entry is via Darling Drive. Casual hourly parking rates apply.
