Trackwork will affect Sydney Train and Sydney Metro services on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March
On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March, trackwork will affect Sydney Trains and Sydney Metro services on parts of the rail network.
City Circle
- Trains do not run on the City Circle, or between Central and Wynyard. More>>
For travel to:
- Town Hall, use metro services to Gadigal (Town Hall) or use the light rail
- Wynyard or Circular Quay, use the light rail
- Museum or St James, change at Central or Gadigal (Town Hall) for local buses or walk
- T1 North Shore Line stations, use metro services to Victoria Cross then change for a bus.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra and South Coast Line trains do not stop at Town Hall.
- Extra L2 and L3 light rail services run between Central, Town Hall, Wynyard and Circular Quay.
T1 North Shore Line
- Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Milsons Point, also stopping at Victoria Cross metro station.
- Change at Victoria Cross for metro services to the City.
- T9 Northern Line trains run between Berowra and Central platforms 1-14, via Strathfield. More>>
T1 Western Line
- Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping patterns between:
- Richmond and Liverpool. Change at Parramatta for trains towards Central
- Penrith and Central, platforms 1-14 only, making an extra stop at Burwood. More>>
T2 Leppington & Inner West and T3 Liverpool & Inner West lines
- Buses replace trains between Ashfield and Central.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Ashfield via Granville or Regents Park.
- Change at Strathfield for express trains to Central, or buses if you are travelling to stations between Summer Hill and Redfern.
- Remain on the train for Burwood, Croydon or Ashfield. More >>
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
- All Cronulla trains and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville but do not stop at Town Hall. More >>
- For travel to Town Hall, change at Central for metro services to Gadigal.
T8 Airport & South Line
- Most trains run to a changed timetable between Macarthur and Sydenham, or between Revesby and Central via the Airport. More >>
- Change at:
- Revesby for trains to Central via the Airport
- Sydenham for metro services to the City or T4 trains towards Bondi Junction.
- T8 trains do not run between Sydenham and the City. Some T4 trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville but do not stop at Town Hall.
- For travel to Town Hall, use metro services to Gadigal.
South Coast Line
- Buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong. More>>
- Trains run between Port Kembla, Wollongong and Bondi Junction, but do not stop at Town Hall.
- For travel to Town Hall change at Central for metro services to Gadigal or use the light rail.
Southern Highlands Line
- Saturday from 4.40am to 4.50pm, buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown. More>>
- T8 Airport & South Line trains are affected by City Circle trackwork and run to a changed timetable between Campbelltown and Sydenham, and between Revesby and Central via the Airport.
- Metro services do not run between Macquarie Park and Victoria Cross. More >>
- Services run between Tallawong and Macquarie Park, and between Victoria Cross and Sydenham only.
- Buses run between Macquarie University and Victoria Cross.
- From Metro North West stations:
- use trains between Epping and Central via Strathfield
- change at Macquarie University for buses to North Ryde, Chatswood, Crows Nest or Victoria Cross
- stay on the metro if you are travelling to Macquarie Park only.
