Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city. 

The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham from early morning until late. 

Change at Central to connect with South Coast Line services to Wollongong.

The closest station to WIN Entertainment Centre is Wollongong on the South Coast Line.

The venue is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the station via Burelli Street. Alternatively, you can catch the free Gong Shuttle from Crown Street, which stops near the venue.   

Trackwork  

Planned trackwork is taking place on Wednesday 5 November on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner. 

• T1 Western Line: from 9.30pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Riverstone. Trains run to a changed timetable between Riverstone and Leppington. Change at Parramatta for trains towards the City. Nightly from 9.40pm to 1.30am, Penrith trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at some stations between Parramatta and Ashfield. 
• T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: from 9.40pm to 1.30am, Inner West trains do not run. T1 or T9 trains make extra stops at some stations between Parramatta and Central, to a changed timetable. Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Olympic Park via Granville. Change at Lidcombe for trains towards Central. You will need to change trains if travelling to Museum, St James or Circular Quay. 
• T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: from 9.40pm to 1.30am, Inner West trains do not run. T1 or T9 trains make extra stops at some stations between Lidcombe and Central, to a changed timetable. Trains run between Liverpool and Lidcombe only. Change trains at Lidcombe to continue your journey. You will need to change trains if travelling to Museum, St James or Circular Quay. 
• T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: from 9.40pm to 2.30am, buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Waterfall, Sutherland and Bondi Junction. 
• T5 Cumberland Line: from 9.30pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Riverstone. Trains run to a changed timetable between Riverstone and Leppington. 
• T9 Northern Line: from 9.50pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Eastwood. Trains run to a changed timetable between Eastwood and the City. Metro services run between Epping and the City. 
• Central Coast & Newcastle Line: from 9.45pm to 2am, trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Hornsby only. Buses replace T9 trains between Hornsby and Eastwood. Express buses also run between Hornsby and Strathfield. T1 trains run between Hornsby and the City via Chatswood. On Thursday, buses replace the 01:47 Central to Newcastle Interchange service from Central to Hornsby. This bus leaves Central at 1.23am, 24 minutes earlier than the normal train timetable. 
• Hunter Line: From 8am to 1pm, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Telarah or Muswellbrook. The 08:29 Newcastle Interchange to Dungog will not run. Catch the 08:48 Newcastle Interchange to Telarah train and change at Maitland for a bus towards Dungog. Buses also replace the 10:02 Dungog to Newcastle Interchange service.

Regular bus routes stop within walking distance of WIN Entertainment Centre, including routes 3, 8, 10, 11, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37, 39, 90 and 92.

A number of regular bus routes make stops along Corrimal Street and Burelli Street to get you within walking distance of WIN Entertainment Centre.  

You can also catch a 'Free Gong Shuttle' (routes 55A and 55C) that operates regularly on weekdays and the weekend. The shuttle runs in both directions on a loop from Wollongong Station to Wollongong University via Wollongong Hospital, Burelli Street and the Innovation Campus.

Hours of operation are:

• Weekdays: 7am to 6pm every 10 minutes, 6pm to 10pm every 20 minutes
• Saturdays: 9am to 5.20pm every 20 minutes
• Sundays & Public Holidays: 9.40am to 5.20pm up to 20 minute frequency

L1 Dulwich Hill Line

L1 Dulwich Hill Line light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill via Darling Harbour and the Inner West. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Partial Line closure for planned maintenance 1-7 November

• Due to planned maintenance L1 Dulwich Hill Line services will not run between Central Grand Concourse and Convention from Saturday 1 to Friday 7 November
• Daily from 5am to 1am, L1 replacement bus services will stop at Central Grand Concourse, Exhibition Centre (towards Central) Convention and The Star with a frequency of 15-20 minutes
• Replacement buses will not stop at Capitol Square, Paddy’s Markets, Exhibition Centre or Pyrmont Bay. Use local buses or walk to Central Grand Concourse or Convention to continue your journey. 
• L1 light rail services will continue to run between Convention and Dulwich Hill

From Central, change for a South Coast Line train to Wollongong.  

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines

L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). Services run regularly, plan your trip using Trip Planner. 

From Central, change for a South Coast Line train to Wollongong.  

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line 

L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner. 

Alight at Parramatta Square and catch a train service from Parramatta Station to Redfern or Central where you can connect with South Coast Line services to Wollongong.  

Passengers are reminded that trams can’t stop quickly or easily – so please stop, listen and look around for trams and use designated pedestrian crossings.

Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the Wollongong CBD and on local roads around WIN Entertainment Centre as fans travel to the match, particularly during busy evening peaks. Allow extra travel time.   

Local roads around the venue may close to help crowds move safely around the area. Plan to arrive early to secure parking and allow extra travel time.   

Fans travelling to the game on the freeway are encouraged to use the Masters Road exit to avoid congestion at Mount Ousley Road, both in and out of Wollongong.

Secure taxi ranks are located on Corrimal Street, and on the corner of Crown and Kembla Streets.

A drop off zone is available on Burelli Street between Harbour and Corrimal Street.
