L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line closures due to maintenance
From Wednesday 18 to Sunday 22 November, L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services will be impacted by closures due to planned trackwork:
- From Wednesday 18 to Friday 20 November, L4 light rail services will not run between Westmead and Parramatta Square.
- On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, all L4 light rail services will not run.
During this time, use alternative transport including L4 replacement bus services, trains, regular bus services or walking if able.
L4 replacement bus services:
Replacement buses will replace services between Westmead and Parramatta Square from Wednesday 18 to Friday 20 November, and all L4 light rail services on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November. During these times, buses will run from 5am to 1am every 10 to 15 minutes, times may vary depending on road traffic.
Replacement buses will not stop at the following locations:
- Westmead Hospital (in both directions) - Please use the alternative stop at Westmead Station (approx. 6 minute walk)
- Ngara (in both directions) - Please use the alternative stop at Benaud Oval (approx. 5 minute walk)
- Rosehill Gardens (in both directions) – Please use the alternative stop at Tramway Avenue (approx. 10 minute walk)
Most replacement buses will be accessible; if not, wait for the next service.
Where the replacement bus has an Opal reader onboard, you must tap on and tap off. A standard light rail fare applies.
Allow extra travel time and use the Trip Planner or check travel alerts to see if your travel is affected.
L4 light rail services will resume as normal from 5am Monday 23 November.
