There are a number of different locations where you can get help with planning a trip, getting an Opal card and other transport enquiries.
Operating hours
- Monday to Saturday: 8am to 6pm
- Sundays and public holidays: 9am to 5pm

Available services
The Customer Service Centre can help with trip planning for all public transport in NSW.
You can:
- Get an unregistered Adult or Child Opal card
- Top up your existing Opal card.
- Get a Gold Senior/Pensioner Opal card when you present identification and an accepted concession. Find out more about Gold Opal cards.
Note: The Transport Customer Service Centre at Central does not accept cash payments.

Staffed offices at train stations can provide train information and timetables.
If you don't have an Opal card or use contactless payments, you will need to purchase an Opal single trip ticket from Opal top up and single trip ticket machines located at most train stations. Unless you require child fares, in most cases using a contactless payment will be cheaper than using an Opal single ticket.
