Important Travel Advice

With around 50,000 people expected in the precinct for the Green Day concert and another concert at neighbouring Qudos Bank Arena, ticketholders are urged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to avoid getting caught in heavy weeknight traffic delays.

  • Public transport is the best way to get to Olympic Park with travel on public transport included in your Green Day concert ticket. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner or free Opal Travel app.
  • Express and limited-stop trains will run frequently from Central and Western Line stations to Olympic Park, with frequent return services after the show. From Olympic Park station, the venue is a short 10-minute walk away.
  • Please note: Major Event Buses will not be running for this event.

If you have no other option but to drive, it is strongly encouraged to pre-book parking:

  • Parking is in high demand, pre-book parking online to guarantee a car space.
  • Carpool with your group and allow plenty of extra travel time as traffic delays are expected on roads approaching the precinct and entering car parks.

  • After the show, traffic will be very heavy as everyone leaves at the same time. Expect to allow up to an hour of additional travel time exiting car parks.
  • You can also consider parking at a nearby train station commuter car park and continuing your trip on train towards Olympic Park.
  • Allow plenty of extra travel time on roads and plan your trip before leaving home. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.

If you're getting dropped off or catching rideshare, taxi ranks are located on Herb Elliott Avenue. Allow plenty of extra travel time on the roads.
