Important Travel Advice
With thousands of fans expected to attend the ROC Nations Cup on Friday 7 March and the Race of Champions on Saturday 8 March, attendees are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.
Public transport is the best way to get to the event with travel on all modes of public transport included in your ticket. Simply show your ticket to staff when boarding services.
- Trains run regularly to Olympic Park from Lidcombe and the stadium is a short walk from the station.
- Please note, Major Event Buses will not be operating for this event.
If you have to drive, carpool with your group and pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior. Allow plenty of additional travel time on the roads, particularly during the busy evening peak. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.
On Friday, the precinct will be busy with thousands of fans also heading to a concert at neighbouring Qudos Bank Arena at the same time. Traffic delays are expected and parking will be in high demand.
Event ticket entitlements
Valid pre-purchased tickets to the ROC Nations Cup and Race of Champions at Accor Stadium (Sydney Olympic Park) on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 March includes travel on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to Transport staff when boarding services:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
- Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
- Sydney Metro services
- Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
- Sydney and Newcastle Ferries
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your event ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.
Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.
Tickets to the Race of Champions at Accor Stadium include travel on transport and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.
If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.
Change at Epping or Central to connect with train services towards Lidcombe then Olympic Park.

Friday
Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until 12:30am.
Additional services will be running to Lidcombe on Friday to help you get to the event.
- From Blacktown: An additional service will leave Blacktown at 5:34pm stopping at Parramatta (at 5:45pm) then Lidcombe. Connect with shuttle trains to Olympic Park from Platform Zero.
- From Schofields: An additional service will leave Schofields at 5:58pm stopping at Blacktown (at 6:05pm), Parramatta at 6:16pm and then Lidcombe. Connect with shuttle trains to Olympic Park from Platform Zero.
Saturday
Trains run regularly to Lidcombe where you can head to Platform Zero for a direct train to Olympic Park, running every 10 minutes until 12:30am.
Please note, on Saturday due to planned weekend trackwork buses replace trains between Penrith/Richmond and Granville on the T1 Western, T5 Cumberland and Blue Mountains Line. Allow extra time as you may need to change for a rail replacement bus to continue your trip to Olympic Park.
Trackwork
No trackwork is taking place on Friday 7 March.
Planned weekend trackwork is taking place on Saturday 8 March and may affect how you travel to and from the event.
- T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith, Richmond and Granville. Trains run to a changed timetable between Granville and the City, with some trains making an extra stop at Flemington. Buses also run between some T1 Western Line stations and Tallawong. Frequent metro services run between Tallawong and the City.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Granville or Regents Park. Extra trains run between Liverpool and T1 North Shore Line stations via Granville.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Regents Park. From 6.30am to 10.30am, trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and Lidcombe, and between Homebush and the City only. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. T1 and T2 trains run between Lidcombe and the City.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland. Trains run between Waterfall, Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable. From 4am to 11.30am, buses also replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland. Trains run between Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Buses replace trains between Richmond and Granville. T2 Leppington Line trains run between Leppington and the City via Granville. Extra trains run between Liverpool and T1 North Shore Line stations via Granville.
- T6 Bankstown Line: From 6.30am to 10.30am, trains run between Bankstown and Lidcombe to a reduced frequency, every 30 minutes.
- T8 Airport & South Line: From 9am to 3pm, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Revesby and Turrella.
- Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith and Granville. Trains from Penrith to Blue Mountains Line stations run up to 45 minutes later than the normal timetable. Bathurst trains continue to run between Bathurst and Central, to a changed timetable. Buses also replace T1 Western Line trains between Penrith, Richmond and Granville. If you are travelling to Lithgow to connect with NSW TrainLink Regional Coaches please call 132 232 to confirm departure times. From 9.15pm Saturday to 7.30am Sunday, buses replace trains between Springwood and Granville.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Most trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change trains at Strathfield to continue your journey. Some late night and early morning trains run around the City Circle. From 7.50pm Saturday to 4.50am Sunday, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Wyong.
- South Coast Line: From 3am to 11am, buses replace trains between Kiama, Port Kembla and Sutherland. Trains run to a changed timetable between Bomaderry and Kiama, and T4 Illawarra trains run between Sutherland and Bondi Junction.

The following Sydney bus services run to Olympic Park:
- Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Sydney Olympic Park via Newington (this route no longer runs to or from Strathfield, if you are travelling from Strathfield catch a 526 buses instead).
- Route 526 runs between Strathfield and Rhodes Shopping Centre via Sydney Olympic Park precinct and wharf.
- Route 533 runs between Sydney Olympic Park and Chatswood via Rhodes & North Ryde.

The closest wharf to Accor Stadium is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.
F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Plan your trip and allow plenty of extra travel time or consider the alternative public transport options available.

L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford Lines
L2 Randwick Line light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and L3 Kingsford Line services run between Circular Quay and Juniors Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street). L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line
L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services run between Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly from 5am to 1am daily. Plan your trip using the Trip Planner.
Alight at Parramatta Square and connect with a train service towards Olympic Park from Parramatta Station.

Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching Sydney Olympic Park as attendees travel to and from the precinct. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road.
Consider catching public transport or parking at a nearby station commuter carpark and continuing your trip by train to Olympic Park to avoid traffic delays. Travel on public transport is included in your event ticket.

To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.

Sydney Olympic Park Car Parks
Visit Sydney Olympic Park – Parking to secure your parking space ahead of the event, available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.
Alternatively, consider parking at a nearby train station commuter car park and continuing the trip to Olympic Park by train. Event tickets include travel on public transport.
If you have pre-booked a space, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry. Carpool with your group and allow plenty of additional travel time. Use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road to get to your car park and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout.
Traffic delays are expected after the event as attendees leave the precinct.
