L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line weekend full closure due to maintenance
On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July, L4 Westmead and Carlingford Line light rail services will not run due to planned trackwork and maintenance works.
During this time, use alternative transport including L4 replacement bus services, trains, regular bus services or walking if able, between Westmead and Carlingford.
L4 replacement bus services:
Replacement bus services will run every 10 to 15 minutes from 5am to 1am daily. These times may vary depending on road traffic.
Replacement buses will not stop at the following locations:
- Westmead Hospital – Use alternative stop at Westmead Station (approx. 6 minute walk)
- Ngara (towards Westmead) – Use alternative stop at Benaud Oval (approx. 5 minute walk)
- Rosehill Gardens – Use alternative stop at Tramway Avenue (approx. 10 minute walk)
Most replacement buses will be accessible; if not, wait for the next service.
Opal readers are located onboard all replacement buses, and you must tap on and tap off. A standard light rail fare applies.
Allow extra travel time and use the Trip Planner or check travel alerts to see if your travel is affected.
L4 light rail services will resume as normal from 5am on Monday 14 July.
